Abundia Empowerment Fund

Because many of us have experienced the life-changing power of the Abundia weekend, we want to expand our community to include as many women as possible. As all Abundia alumni will tell you, it takes a great deal of courage to commit to the weekend and overcome fear and shame about what you might find there. For some, limited financial funds are an additional obstacle that we want to overcome. Therefore, we would like to announce the creation of the Abundia Empowerment Fund.

Is the cost of the weekend preventing you from attending Abundia? Then read on.

Do you know a woman who would attend Abundia if she had financial help? Then tell her support is available.

Would you like to help another woman experience Abundia? Then consider contributing whatever you wish to the Empowerment Fund.

The Empowerment Fund will help share costs for the retreat weekend. Car-pooling and room-sharing options are also available. If you need a ride or a roomate, email Jeani McAleer and she will help connect with other women who want to share these costs.

The Empowerment Fund is a grant for help with registration costs. There are no restrictions on who can apply to the Empowerment Fund. We simply ask that you share the cost of the weekend to the best of your ability, so that we can support as many women as possible.

If you would like to request assistance from the Fund, send an email to Durette Hauser. Please tell us the following:

  1. Your name, or name of the woman who needs assistance.
  2. Location.
  3. The best way to contact you.
  4. How you heard about Abundia, and how we can best help you.
  5. How much support you need for the retreat weekend.

The deadline for requests is October 1. On October 8, we will contact you personally to tell you whether we can meet your request.
